🎥 On The Ground in El Paso, Texas during the surge in Covid cases. WCK’s Sigrid reports in earlier today as we were delivering lunch to healthcare heroes on Thanksgiving. This is Hospitals of Providence Memorial, which has dedicated floors and medical tents for Covid patients.
WCK’s Teresa prepared a special Thanksgiving meal for the Yes We Can School in Tijuana today. It was her first time cooking a turkey, and the result was delicious! 🤤 Teresa continues to lead our efforts on the border, even through Covid, delivering meals to refugees every day.
This used to be the most popular empanada shop in Providencia, run by Crispin & his daughters Maria Fernanda and Jackie. Now they are helping WCK serve their neighborhood with hot meals we are flying in—until we can cook on island. Today we also helped them get a roof installed!
Happy Thanksgiving from the WCK Team in Colombia! Felix reports in from the island of San Andres, as we load up thousands of meals for the island of Providencia. Cleanup continues there for 6,000 residents living in the open after Hurricane Iota destroyed 98% of infrastructure.
Through WCK’s Covid response, we’re providing fresh produce for families around the country—close to 500,000 boxes in total so far!🌶🥬 To go with the produce, we developed recipe cards with cooking tips for people to get creative in the kitchen & help bring a bit of extra joy ❤️
El Paso, TX issued a new curfew to try to get Covid infections under control & National Guard troops are helping deal with a growing number of bodies. Hospital staff continue to work non-stop through Thanksgiving, so the WCK team will keep bringing meals for our frontline heroes!
Fresh fruit is a key part of all WCK meals—and these mandarin oranges were the star of lunch for kids in Aldea Champona! 🍊 WCK's community partner El Faro served 200 nourishing meals with beef, rice, and grilled vegetables to families today. #ChefsForGuatemala

Choloma is a city outside San Pedro Sula in Honduras, that experienced extreme flooding after the hurricanes this month— and waters continues to rise with ongoing rain. Our Relief Team has been brining hot meals & fresh water, and last night we served tamales!😋 #ChefsForHonduras
