During these 100 days, the Biden administration will do an agency-wide review of enforcement actions at DHS. The administration will be rethinking how enforcement, detention, and deportation work. We expect new policies at the end of the 100 days.
The is a temporary stop to *most* deportations. People who have a final removal order will not be deported for the next 100 days starting 1/22
It excludes people who:
-arrived in the US after 11/1/2020
-signed a voluntary departure waiver after having a chance to see a lawyer
No president before Biden has ever put in place a moratorium on deportations. IT'S A BIG DEAL- but there’s still a lot more to get done. We must continue to demand an end to ALL deportations & the release of all people from detention.
