Please support our call on Govt to reverse its decision. Please sign our statement which is on our website together with further information about the Govt’s intentions and our concerns about the dual strategy.

We are extremely concerned about the @ukhomeoffice's decision to fragment its approach to gender-based violence by separating domestic violence from the VAWG framework on its national strategy. We are joining @SBSisters, @AngelouCentre1 & @Safety4Sisters and need your support⬇️

On 5th Jan, UK House of Lords had the second reading of the #Domestic Abuse Bill.

While the #committee stage is yet to be scheduled, we wanted to share a powerful video, created by #StepUpMigrantWomen

Today at the 2nd reading of the #DomesticAbuseBill, members of @UKHouseofLords have a key opportunity to ensure the Bill becomes a truly gold-standard piece of legislation that protects all women, regardless of their immigration status #StepUpMigrantWomen

Will the #HouseofLords have the vision, compassion and integrity to do the right thing and ensure the #DomesticAbuseBill protects *all* survivors regardless of migration status?
Let’s hope so.

‘Police told not to share immigration data of domestic abuse victims’

Migrant women experiencing domestic abuse must be allowed to seek help without fear of consequence.

Sharing data will mean victims won’t speak out and remain trapped.

The perception of not being able to access support because of their immigration status prevents women from approaching the police and accessing justice. We want to reassure women that police have a duty to protect and treat all victims of crime equally. #StepUpMigrantWomen

ICYMI: Black, Minoritised and white women working in the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector have come together as the Anti-Racism Working Group, to create a Charter and Call for Action, which has been launched this morning. #endracisminvawg

On this #HumanRightsDay I'm proud to see colleagues in the VAWG sector launching their Call to Action & Charter to end racist practices. Organisations supporting Black & minoritised women must get the funding, support, and recognition they deserve. #endracisminvawg
