I was diagnosed with ADHD on my 6th birthday. I was later misdiagnosed and then finally diagnosed with autism when I was 17. I did not magically grow out of it 6 months later. In fact, I’m 27 and still have autism and ADHD. They exist in adults too. #DisabilityHasNoAgeRequirement
The amount of disbelief in Ireland if anyone under 45/ 50 dares to even think they are chronically unwell, even worse if they give the specialist an idea of what it could be. Even *worse* if that person is female.
